Women's Outdoor Wellness Retreat - Giant City State Park
Here is the general outline of the weekend:
Thursday, 10/20 - Arrive btwn 5-7pm to set up camp at Giant City State Park. For those who do not want to camp, we will provide a few hotel options. Members can also join us on Friday for the day activities or in the evening.
Friday, 10/21 - Breakfast on your own, meet at specified trail (TBA) for 4+ hour "health and happiness" hike; during which we will take some time for journaling, "solo hiking" and group discussion. We will come together after the hike for a group mindful meal and campfire chat.
Saturday, 10/22 - Today is our "Exploration and Trust" day; we will be reaching new heights, setting bigger goals and believing and trusting in our abilities and dreams. We may set up some top-rope climbs, but there will also be options for exploring waterfalls, amazing hiking trails or horseback riding. We will gather for group discussions in the late afternoon with nourishment through nature chats, and confidence exercises. Dinner will either be a group camp dinner or something yet to be determined.
Sunday, 10/23 - We will begin the morning with a cleansing routine led by Anita, a former Yoga Teacher and Massage Therapist. She will lead us through a cleansing breathing routine, meditation and stress-reducing yoga routine. Following our energizing morning, we will prepare a very simple and "clean" breakfast for the group, followed by some journaling and walking meditation exercises. Our retreat will close with group closing remarks and goals for our future selves. We will pack up camp and the retreat around noon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- We will need to know in advance how many women plan to attend and camp with us at Giant City State Park so that we ensure that we have enough space.
